The mall chain which caters to women's fashion also controls Peek stores, according to USA Today. Charlotte Russe had been close to bankruptcy for a while now after announcing over a year ago a deal to renegotiate certain debts.
Charlotte Ruuse has more than 500 stores and close to 9,000 employees.
The company announced it would be shutting down a total of 94 stores. Of those 94 stores, two are New England locations. The two that will be closing their doors in the Bay State are located in Cambridge and Kingston, Mass. No exact word on when will be the last day of business for these two Mass. locations.
