Baby Strollers Recalled Due to Unexpected Choking Hazard
UPPAbaby out of Hingham, Mass has recalled some 71,000 strollers due to potential choking hazard.
Uppababy has recalled their 2015 Cruz, Vista and RumbleSeats models due to the foam covering on the bumper bar. Officials say the foam covering can pose a choking hazard when a child bites the bumper bar and removes a piece of the foam covering.
The company has received 22 reports of children biting off a piece of the foam, however, no injuries have been reported.
The 2015 CRUZ strollers have model number 0181, while the 2015 VISTA strollers have model number 0101 printed on a sticker on the lower crossbar frame. Check with the Consumer Product Safety Commission to see if you have a serial number that is being recalled.
If you have one of the models in question, immediately remove and stop using the bumper bar on the recalled strollers and RumbleSeats and contact UPPAbaby for a free bumper bar cover and warning label.
