New Bakery in Somersworth, New Hampshire’s Grand Opening is on Saturday

This is exciting!  Especially just before the holidays.

There is a new bakery coming to Downtown Somersworth in the space that used to be "The Cozy Nest."

Opening on Saturday, November 15th, 2025, The Bakery at Somersworth is opening!

We heard the news on The (un)Official City of Somersworth, NH Facebook page.  It's a private group, so you can join, but you have to answer a few questions.

The community seems to be very excited about the new business. Most of the comments are saying congratulations or something similar.

Even the other food service people in the area like Fold'd are being supportive.

The Bakery at Somersworth is located at 60B High Street in Somersworth.  Three doors up from the Somersworth City Hall, High Street (upper) entrance.

Some of the comments suggested that the bakery offer pork pies since Harvey's used to be the GO TO place for the perfect Canadian tasting pork pies.  I give that a RESOUNDING YES!  As a matter of fact.....

A Plea to the Bakery at Somersworth, NH From the Seacoast Community

If you live on the Seacoast, I don't have to tell you what a loss Harvey's Bakery was to the Community. Although we all understood that Pam and the rest of the Harvey's family needed a break, we so miss the maple squares, the French crullers, etc.  I am sure you will offer some of these things with your own recipe and we can't wait to try it.  BUT, if there's any way you could just re-create the pork pies to the exact taste that we know and love from Harvey's?  That'd be great.
