Watch This: Bears Are Breaking Into Cars in Bartett, NH for Food

Here is your daily reminder that we live in New Hampshire and bears are EVERYWHERE.

Okay the all caps on "everywhere" was certainly dramatic, but seriously there are people who don't realize how common bears are in New Hampshire.

For example, when I go camping in New Hampshire and see people leaving trash bags full of burger scraps outside of their car I am quickly reminded that a lot of people do not know typical bear safety.

Bears are so common up in the White Mountains in New Hampshire that even when you DO, do the right thing regarding bear safety, it does not always work out.

And that is what happened over the weekend in Bartlett, NH.

The video shows a mama black bear climbing into a white SUV in Bartlett - one of the top tourist towns in the White Mountains.

I am not sure if the car window was cracked open or not, but once the bear smelt what was inside there was no stopping her...even for a bag of chips.

The car windows were shattered, and the mama bear climbed in, grabbed some snacks, and headed out.

This is just a constant reminder - bears are everywhere in New Hampshire.

Throw away your food, close and lock your car, and be aware that bears can meet you at any point in the woods or the parking lot in your "up-north" condo.
