Hello reader,

My wife and I are outdoorsy peeps. 99% of the time, our ideal weekend is spent up in the White Mountain National Forest camping with our two mini-bernedoodles.

We often camp at our favorite campground, the Covered Bridge Campground along the Kancamagus Highway.

Although camping at state parks or USDA Forest Service campgrounds is easy (as they are always $25 a night and come with a table, fire ring, etc.), we want to expand our campsite stays.

What my wife and I are REALLY looking for is the single best campsite in New England.

But I need your help.

I'm not looking for a campground recommendation. We want to know the exact spot to camp at. For example, one of the best sites in all of Maine (based on my camping experience) is site A13 at Mount Desert Campground in Acadia National Park.

The site is on the waterfront and has the typical amenities, but also offers more seclusion than other sites.

This idea stemmed from a few primitive camping experiences. Traveling to state parks or National Forest-regulated campgrounds is often a gamble. Some sites are only available on a first come first serve basis.

When that happens, we find a primitive site (following all rules and regulations). We have discovered some of the BEST "campsites" in the state by doing this.

So we are on a mission to find the best single camping spot in all of New England. My hope is to gather suggestions from YOU and try them all out this summer. Once we camp there, I will write a review and try to rank all of your recommendations to narrow down the best of the best.

We camp on a top tent on a Jeep Gladiator, so off-road and hard-to-get-to sites are feasible and actually preferred.

So drop a comment or shoot me an email (logan.sherwood@townsquaremedia) and help me find the best campsite in all of New England. Whether it is a private part of your property, a site at a campground, a Hipcamp, or something else, we want to try it, review it, and rank it.

And since I am feeling nostalgic about warm camping, please enjoy this video from our three-week road trip in our old two-door jeep, circa 2020.
