This Dog Park in New Hampshire Was Named Best Hidden Gem Dog Park in America
Knowing where the nearest dog park is to your house or apartment is not the most important thing you can do as a dog owner...but knowing where the BEST dog park is just might be.
Dog parks are brilliant. There are certainly negatives to everything, including dog parks, but the concept is really sound. It is a safe area for your dog to run free, play with other dogs, all without fear of a car accident or the pup running away.

Just because a dog park is close, does not mean you should go. I have seen MANY dog parks with holes in fences, overgrown grass full of ticks, and small enclosures not even big enough for a dog to run in.

Best Dog Park Near Merrimack, New Hampshire
The 14th best dog park in the country is in New Hampshire. Merrimack Dog Park, otherwise known as The Dog Park at Wasserman Park, is epic. There are not one, but two separate dog parks at this wonderful area.
The dog parks are 3/4 of an acre in total, according to the Merrimack Parks and Rec website. And when it comes to dog parks, size matters. The pups need space to run or have an area to themselves to cool down.
The first dog park at Wasserman Park, for larger dogs, is a 91X208 fenced-in area, or just under a half-acre. The smaller fenced-in park is for little dogs, about a quarter of an acre.
