This New Hampshire Bakery is Known for Kweenies, and Guy Fieri Loves Them
I know what your first question is. What the heck is a kweenie?
Before I get to that, imagine the most delicious, buttery, and caloric treat a bakery can offer anywhere in the world, and you will get the picture of how delightfully delicious a kweenie is.
The actual name of this bakery delicacy is Kouign-amann (“kween a-mahn”), and it is a French pastry from Brittany. The New York Times has called this pastry "the fattiest pastry in all of Europe."

In New Hampshire, there's a bakery known for their Kouign-amann, which they nicknamed "kweenies".
Big Dave's Bagels & Deli can't keep these snacks in the house for long, as they are especially delicious when they come out of the oven.
Originally made in Europe from scraps, the puff pastry is 40% flour, 30% butter, and 30% sugar. They look delicious, don't they?
Big Dave's kweenies have also been featured internationally in 20 Minutes (French Daily Newspaper), the Financial Times of London, and France Live. This pastry is gaining international fame, but you don't have to go too far, because Big Dave's Bakery & Deli is in North Conway, New Hampshire.
So the next time you get an urge for something sweet, head north to one of the best bagel spots in the Granite State, and one of the most caloric treats in the world.
Guy Fieri visited Big Dave's Bakery & Deli on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. He enjoyed the bagels and sandwiches, but loved the kweenies too.
