Boston Red Sox’s Mookie Betts and Meghan Markle Are Family?

Will Little Archie, Harry and Meghan’s new baby, be sporting a Red Sox Jersey?

According to the dailymail.co.uk, the Red Sox and Yankees recently played ball in London, England, as part of a partnership promoting Prince Harry’s special charity, Invictus Games Foundation.

But the biggest surprise of all was that it turns out that Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, is related to Mookie Betts!

The relationship goes back over 150 years, according to Genealogist Jim McNiff in the Daily Mail article, but they are distant cousins. The records were discovered out of Madison County, Alabama, in an 1870 Federal Census.

According to dailymail.co.uk, both teams presented the Duke and Duchess of Sussex a jersey bearing the number 19 on the back, commemorating Archie’s birth year.

I hope little Archie wears the Red Sox’s jersey and not the Yankee’s one.  Since he has family ties to the Red Sox I think we can guarantee he will be a Boston fan.
