Boy Scouts are Starting to Allow Girls to Join
The board of directors voted and the results were unanimous. Girls will now be accepted into the organization and have the opportunity to advance all the way up to it's highest ranking, Eagle Scout.
According to the Union Leader the Cheif Scout Executive of the organization, Michael Surbaugh, said
“The values of Scouting - trustworthy, loyal, helpful, kind, brave and reverent, for example - are important for both young men and women."
Perhaps I am missing something, as I was never a girl scout or a boy scout for that matter. But if girls can now join Boy Scouts then what's the point of having Girl Scouts?
