Candia, New Hampshire Applefest Brings 50 Vendors And Pie Contests To Town
If you're ready to officially embrace apple season, there's a pretty sweet reason to head to Candia this Saturday.

The Candia Farmers Market is celebrating Applefest on September 19th, turning its regular Saturday market into a morning filled with local food, fall fun and plenty of ways to work up an appetite.
From 9 a.m. to noon, more than 50 local farmers, food producers, bakers, artisans and specialty vendors will take over Pond Park at 55 High Street. You can shop everything from fresh produce and locally raised meats to baked goods, handmade items, coffee, ice cream and specialty foods.
But the apple pie is one of the biggest reasons to show up!
The annual Apple Pie Baking Contest will put local bakers to the test while kids can compete in an Apple Pie Eating Contest! The kiddos contest kicks off at 10 a.m., and contestants have one very important rule: no hands allowed.
There will also be live music from Roosta Gulla, a Young Farmers Club with hands-on activities for kids and even a scavenger hunt throughout the market.
So grab the family, bring your appetite and get ready to celebrate one of the best parts of New England fall!
