Care About the Ocean and Country Music? You Must See This Concert in Massachusetts
Living in New England, chances are you're not far from the Atlantic Ocean. If you've always wondered how you can make a difference in the environment, here's your chance.
Environmental concerns have never been more important, so 97.5 WOKQ and Blue Ocean Music Hall are teaming up for a charity show to benefit the New Hampshire Chapter of Surfrider Foundation, a national environmental organization to save our oceans.
Country music and caring about our kids' future go hand in hand. What better way to show our concern than to buy a ticket to an acoustic country event called "Acoustic Country By The Sea"?
This unique event brings four Nashville acts to the Blue Ocean Music Hall in Salisbury, Massachusetts, for a night of storytelling and songs on Wednesday, November 2. Each artist will take turns singing a song and telling a story about that song while entertaining an audience hanging on every word.
This type of acoustic show gives the audience a real view into the heads and hearts of songwriters, and the vision of what a song can do.
Special guests include 20-year country vet and 6-time number one artist Joe Nichols, formerly a firefighter, and now the most powerful new voice in country music, Tyler Braden, signed as a writer at 9 years old, young country star Conner Smith, and hailing from a farm in Iowa, dynamic new female artist Hailey Whitters.
More importantly, this concert benefits the very active New Hampshire Chapter of Surfriders Foundation. The NH Chapter conducts water sample tests in the off-season to ensure the beaches are safe and the water is not contaminated. The group also plans beach cleanup dates along the coast, so anyone can help them improve the coastline.
Surfriders Foundation NH Chapter Vice-Chairman Chris Grippo says the group regularly picks up over 400 lbs. of trash along the beach during its organized cleanups.
That is astounding, and enough to make any patron of the beach downright mad.
Let's pull together and create an annual event to make a difference. Buy a ticket and enjoy an acoustic night out for the sea, and see Nashville's finest storytellers.
