It’s hard to believe that it’s been two weeks since the passing of one of the most beloved people in show business, Betty White. A meme has been making the rounds saying how incredible it must be to have the whole world think that 99 years still wasn’t enough time.

Betty was the cover girl for People Magazine, only the edition came out just before her passing and celebrating her 100th birthday, which would have been January 17th.

Odd By Nature Brewing in Cape Neddick, Maine was preparing something special for Betty’s big day, but instead of a birthday brew, it will now honor someone loved by so many of us.

Thank You For Being A Friend

Appropriately named in honor of her role as Rose Nylund and one of the most iconic television theme songs of all time for The Golden Girls, Thank You For Being A Friend is available for purchase now.

The Golden Girls took place in Miami, Florida, and this beer embraces the tropical fruity flavors often found in that area. Thank You For Being A Friend is a Sour IPA with Cara Cara orange and mango. They describe the beer as having notes of grapefruit as well as other tropical flavors.

Odd By Nature Brewing in Cape Neddick is a relatively new brewery and quickly became a must-stop in the greater York area. Not only are their brews tasty but they are often releasing beers that celebrate pop culture.
