Nominate a New Hampshire Family in Need for ‘Kira & Logan’s Christmas Wish’

Life in 2024 is so expensive it hurts. Every trip to the grocery store and every fill of the gas tank makes us wince a little in pain.

The holiday season is right around the corner and the thought of buying Christmas gifts this year is enough to send us all into full blown panic mode. For some families, it will be impossible to get gifts under the Christmas tree this year.

For five years WOKQ has been trying to alleviate the stresses that accompany the holiday season with our Christmas Wish. Five families in need will be chosen and awarded with $500 to spend however they need.

Need to pay off the plumber for fixing the leak in your roof? Put it towards that! Need to pay the fee so your child can go on their annual field trip? That works too! We're not going to tell recipients how to spend this gift. We're just going to give it to them!

How are recipients selected for Kira and Logan's Christmas Wish?

It is up to you to nominate a family you think is deserving of $500 to help make their Christmas more merry and bright.

Tell us their story! Have they endured hardship this year? What makes them a good person? How do they contribute to their community? The more details, the better!

Are there any rules?

Yes, but only two!

Rule #1 is you can't nominate yourself or anyone living in your household. Christmas is all about giving. This is your opportunity to lift someone up who truly needs it. It can be your neighbor, someone at your church, your kid's teacher, ANYONE!

Rule #2 is the person you nominate must live in our listening area AKA New Hampshire, Massachusetts or Maine.

TIP: Be as specific as you can in the "Tell us Their Story" section. The more we get a sense of what this person is like and what they have been through, the more likely we are to select them.

Entries must be submitted by November 29th. One entry per person.

We will begin granting wishes on Monday, December 2nd and grant one wish per day until Friday, December 6th. Get those nominations in!
