The Ober family just opened up this place in September of 2025 and now they have been ranked by Resy in the top 10% of restaurants in the entire U.S.

It's quite an honor for the new restaurant, Cornicello at 11 Water Street in Exeter, NH, right next to Sea Dog Brewery.  According to their Facebook page, the Executive Chef Josh and the staff behind the scenes are all responsible for great food and a great experience.

I spoke with Jackie Bradley, the new GM and she told me that the restaurant has two floors.  The downstairs is a more casual vibe, but you can get still get same menu, but it's a bit more of a Speakeasy.  If you just want to have a cocktail and a bite to eat without a reservation, downstairs might be the place for you,

What is the Best Thing on the Menu at Cornicello in Exeter?

Jackie's favorite thing on the menu is... hard to choose, but she looooves the bruschetta.  She said it's the chef's kiss for her.  She also mentioned that whatever Josh makes is also deeeelish!

The Facebook post also says that most restaurants are in the Top 10% if they are located in a big city like Boston, New York, Los Angeles, etc., but people are discovering all over New Hampshire that you don't have to be in a big city to get amazing food, service and atmosphere.

Small Towns in New Hampshire are Getting Noticed

Exeter is a great town.  It's one of my favorites on the Seacoast.  I've always thought that since I moved in about 30 years ago.  Home of Phillips Exeter Academy has always made the town special, but now, so many others, if I can use a term from Maine, "from away," are discovering it.

Exeter isn't the only town on the Seacoast that is getting a lot of attention. Take a look at the growth in Real Estate and new businesses in towns like Portsmouth, Newmarket, Epping, Dover and Stratham over the past few years.  It is surprising how many are now discovering that this is the best part of the whole country.

All the best to Cornicello and Congratulations to all!
