Some listeners were lucky enough to get a car or a home from a family member for just a dollar.  Others got some great steals and deals at stores. XXX for instance, went to a store to buy a mini fridge.  The sign said 99.99, but when the cashier rang it up, it was only .99!  That's a cool deal!

Urgent Need For Blood Donors

The The American Red Cross in Manchester has issued an appeal for blood donation in Northern New England. There are specific blood types that the Red Cross needs right now.Donors are being asked to sign up right now to prevent an urgent shortage of blood.

Peaceful Protest Turns To Mayhem
It started as a peaceful protest and ended in mayhem. Crowds in the St. Louis suburb of Ferguson, Missouri protested the killing of 18-year-old Michael Brown, who was shot several times by a police officer Saturday. Following a march earlier yesterday and a peaceful candlelight vigil last night, some people began looting businesses, vandalizing vehicles and confronting police. Brown's mother says she doesn't know why police didn't subdue her son with a club or a taser.

Three Teens Dead After Car Crash
Three teenagers have been killed and one has been badly injured after a driver lost control of a car and hit a tree in Unity. State police say the driver was speeding on West Unity Road just after 2 p.m. yesterday. Two 17-year-olds and an 18-year-old died at the scene. The 17-year-olds have not been identified. The 18-year-old was a passenger, Brittany Bailey, of Claremont. Police say a 17-year-old passenger has been hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

Vermont Experiencing Problems With Insurance Plans
Officials say enrollees in insurance plans sold on Vermont's health care exchange have experienced problems with billing. Health care advocate Trinka Kerr says her office, a special project of Vermont Legal Aid, received 65 calls about billing problems between April 1st and mid-July.

A North Carolina guy entered a donut-eating contest that included competing against police officers.  The man, who was wanted on several charges actually won the contest and then had his picture plastered all over the local police stations.  It didn't take long for him to be arrested.
