We all need a good haircut every now and then.  Ok, maybe some of us also need a color, cut, and blow-dry, along with foils or a balayage on a regular basis.

Somehow we become totally attached not only to our hairstyle, but hair color.

If you are someone who doesn't care about how you look, then you can stop right here.  But, if you have a sense of pride about keeping trimmed and looking good gives you confidence, let's continue.

I have been to and known many stylists over the years, both in big cities and small towns.  The saying "you get what you pay for" is not always true in my experience.  I have had the high priced styles in a city, and the more economical haircuts in small towns.

My experience is more about how the stylist takes care of their own hair.  If they go to the salon every day with a great style, cut, or even creative color, I know they care about hair.   On the flip side, if they get to work with greasy hair or looking unkept in the hair department, then it causes me to wonder what they'll do to my hair.

It's a matter of pride for what you do for a living.

I know what you're thinking.  Everyone has a bad day, but in general, would you trust a salon if it doesn't create an ambiance of caring?  I'd be one and done with that place, even if my stylist was the only one looking like a horror movie.

Now before you get all bent our of shape, think about it.  Would you trust a doctor who  reeked of cigarettes while telling you you're an idiot for not quitting smoking?  It's an oxymoron I cannot wrap my brain around.

So, go get that great stylist who cares about your hair, and their own.
