It’s nice to see the continuation of one holiday tradition with the celebration of the Festival of Trees in Dover happening December 4 from 4 to 8 pm, according to Fosters.com.

Thanks in large to part to the generous sponsorship of Kennebunk Savings, the Dover Festival of Trees will be celebrating its 11th year.

Bradford C. Paige, President and Chief Executive Officer of Kennebunk Savings tells Fosters.com, “We’re proud to be a part of this holiday tradition in Dover and continue our support for an event that creates holiday magic through all of the beautifully decorated trees.”

This year the event will be smaller, and you will need to pre-register at dovernh.org/fot.  Dover is limiting the number of people to the event due to COVID-19 restrictions and in an effort to keep everyone safe while enjoying a wonderful holiday event.

They will be offering free hand sanitizer, and this will be a mask required event.  Social distancing will be in effect, according to Fosters.

If you have never participated in the Dover Festival of Trees this might be a good year for it.

The display has over 25 trees decorated by local businesses which are then raffled or auctioned off and features decorated wreaths, according to fosters.com.

The event is held at the Rivermill at Dover Landing.

Follow details about the Festival of Trees by the Dover Chamber of Commerce.  In the event of a spike in COVID-19 cases in the Dover area, the event may be rescheduled or moved to a virtual format.
