Dover, New Hampshire, Cheerleading Team Wins Epic Title
It is BEYOND exciting to win a national championship when you are in High School. I didn't play sports but I did partake in our statewide high school drama festival and when we got to the state level I thought my heart was going to burst with excitement.
I love that moment at competition where everyone is waiting anxiously with anticipation to hear the results. Sometime you sit in a "prayer circle" and hold hands with your fellow team mates if you are feeling particular dramatic. But that moment when you hear the name of your school announced and the whole room erupts with applause, it feels like all of your hard work and sacrifice is worth it!
I am so happy to hear that the Varsity Cheerleading team in our radio station's hometown of Dover New Hampshire, won back-to-back State Championships for Fall 2024 and Winter 2025.
BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE: they also claimed the New England Coed Championship title for the first time in program history, despite competing with only 11 athletes — the smallest squad in the program's history.
This all warrants some serious bragging rights!
Let's hear for the Green Wave! Congratulations to all of the athletes on this well deserved honor.
