According to Business Insider, the decision for Dunkin' Donuts to drop the "Donuts" from their name is not a huge surprise. In late 2017, a location in Quincy. MA tested out the new name "Dunkin'" and have decided to roll out the new name to 20 more Boston locations and 30 other nationwide locations before the end of the year.

As we know, America Runs on Dunkin. Dunkin' (Donuts) customers are passionate and loyal. A little name change action won't deter them from hitting the drive-thru every single morning. However, the general consensus is that people aren't fond of this change.

That last tweet I am going to have to agree with.

The thing we must remember is that no matter what they change their name to, Dunkin' still carries the coffee and delicious treats that we know and love. So don't worry your pretty little head about the change. And don't we all just call it "Dunks" anyway?
