As a kid, growing up in a Boston suburb, I remember walking down to the local cobbler (Christopher's) for shoe repairs.

I remember the very distinctive smell of the shop. I can picture all the shoes lined up on the walls and counters. I am sad to know children nowadays won't get to experience the sites, sounds and smells of a local cobbler doing a honest days work. I never met Mr. Ciotti, but I want to thank him for his years of hard work. It can't be an easy job.
