Dover, New Hampshire, Sub Shop Closes Out of Nowhere
When it comes to sandwich options in Dover, New Hampshire, we have plenty of them! I am and will always be a fan of Moe's Italian Sandwiches. Their Mad Sicilian is what my spicy dreams are made of. I am also a big fan of Riverbend Pizza and Subs. They have a great steak and cheese sub that always hits the spot. People also love Doug's Hoagies!

Speaking of sandwich joints, whether you loved it or not, it came out on the What's Happening in (or to) Dover NH Facebook page that Firehouse Subs on Central Ave in Dover closed without much of a warning. The people of the Garrison city are trying to get to the bottom of what happened. One commentor speculated that Firehouse recently announced plans to focus on Brazil and simultaneously closed a number of US stores. Perhaps the Dover location is a result of that?
What is Firehouse Subs?

Like many other sub shops the menu features hot specialty subs, salads, and other seasonal items. The fun part is the sandwich names are inspired by various firehouse features like the Hook & Ladder, Engineer, and Firehouse Hero.
Now that the Dover, New Hampshire, location is closed, where is the closest Firehouse Subs?
There appears to be a location at the Shoppes @ 665 South Willow St. in Manchester, NH.
