Frank and I became fast friends as I walked by and gave his homemade wind chimes a delicate tap to hear what they could do. He came in hot with "That's all you got?! These are made of sturdy metal and fishing wire. You'll have to do a lot more than that to break them." He proceeded to give them an aggressive whack!

Frank is a retired veteran and worked in our prison system for over 30 years. He now spends his time repurposing silverware and serving pieces creating unique decorative pieces, wind chimes, and jewelry. All of this magic is made right out of his home in Springvale Maine.

I asked where the name "Franks Fort" came from and he said when people would come to his house and ask for him, his wife would say "he's in his fort". Which just meant he was in his shop creating things so the name just kind of stuck.

Frank made a killing at The World's Largest yard sale. If you missed him there he will also be making an appearance at the Gorham House Craft Fair as well as the Waterboro Elementary School Holiday Fair.

His products are available and 10 different stores in Maine and New Hampshire. Give him a like on the Frank's Fort Facebook page for more info!

And of course, I had to leave with something to remember Frank by. How cute is this necklace?!
