The festive season is kicking off, and with it comes a multitude of events like drive-thru light shows in New Hampshire, holiday boat cruises in Maine, and a scavenger hunt for giant animal Nutcrackers in Massachusetts.

But you might be looking for something a little different from all the straightforward magical wonder and joy that turns New England into a Hallmark movie.

Turns out, Fright Kingdom in Nashua, New Hampshire, is spreading its own brand of holiday cheer by creating a very scary winter wonderland. Who says you can't have a bit of haunted Halloween in the Christmas season?

The Fright Before Christmas Comes to New Hampshire in December

Fright Kingdom, which touts itself as New England's largest indoor scream park, is famous for its haunted attractions, especially around Halloween.

But for two Fridays and Saturdays in December 2025, the Nashua, New Hampshire, spot is offering up a festive twist called The Fright Before Christmas.

Fright Kingdom's website states that on December 5, 6, 12, and 13, it will be transformed for the Christmas season, complete with "rabid reindeer, crazed carolers, cannibalistic elves and other merry mayhem-makers."

The event does take place indoors, and according to Fright Kingdom's website, they recommend being at least 12 years old as it can be particularly scary. (Though, from the looks of things, I bet even some older adults might get terrified by it all!)

Watching some videos of the event looks like it could give me nightmares. Sure, the Christmas lights adorned all over the place look pretty cool... and then the terrifying sets and actors take it to a whole extra level.
