New Gluten-Free Bakery Opens In Nashua, New Hampshire

The last time I wrote about a gluten-free bakery, I had no idea just how many people in New Hampshire live a gluten-free lifestyle. As someone whose doctors have long encouraged a gluten- and dairy-free diet to help manage my PCOS symptoms, I know firsthand that finding a delicious treat can sometimes feel like a challenge.

That's why I was excited to learn about Bonne the Baker, which officially opened its storefront in Nashua on May 16th.

Bonne, the owner, brings decades of experience to her new venture. She's been a pastry chef for more than 30 years, including being one of the original pastry chefs at Michael Timothy's in the 1990s. She also spent 12 years running the bakery at Sunnycrest Farm in Londonderry and then later worked at Buckley's Bakery. Along the way, she began developing gluten-free and vegan pastries before eventually launching her own business, supplying local coffee shops and restaurants.

Now, after 14 years of building her brand, Bonne has opened her own dedicated gluten-free and vegan bakery and market, offering not only house-made baked goods but also a variety of specialty products for those with dietary restrictions.

Being able to indulge without feeling guilty or worrying about how you'll feel afterward is a HUGE relief. It's nice to simply enjoy a cookie, pastry, or sweet treat without anticipating unwanted flare-ups or discomfort (I know the GF community will agree with me on that!).

Whether you live gluten-free by necessity or by choice, Bonne the Baker is another reminder that delicious desserts and baked goods don't have to be completely off the table.
