Go Night Skiing in a Spectacle of Lights at NH’s Waterville Valley Resort

Snow may be on the way, but that isn't stopping this resort from hosting this fun annual tradition that all you skiers out there just might want to look into.

Tomorrow night (Friday, February 25th) at 8 pm, New Hampshire's Waterville Valley Resort will be having their annual Vacation Week Torchlight Parade.

Not only will visitors get the chance to go night skiing during the event, but they'll be able to do so in the midst of a spectacle of lights. What an exciting way to celebrate February vacation.

Daytime skiing brings its share of scenic views, but descending down a mountain under a canopy of stars with lights illuminating your path is extra special.

Skiers will be provided with glow sticks, and staff members will be using red flairs to help further light the path.

With the impending storm, you may be wondering whether the Parade will be canceled or not. According to this Facebook post made by the Resort earlier this week, the staff intend to groom the mountain to make it as safe as possible for guests.

"Snow is on the forecast for Friday starting in the early morning hours. We'll be grooming the entire mountain overnight on Thursday and into Friday morning. By fully grooming the entire mountain, we hope to deliver the best possible snow surface, so that you can ski in confidence on fresh corduroy. Snow will accumulate fast, and conditions will likely deteriorate as snow continues to accumulate throughout the day. There is a high possibility that natural moguls will form, which may create potential challenges for beginner skiers/riders."

In response to a comment expressing concerns about the Parade specifically, the Resort said that they will indeed be open Friday night. Hopefully everything is able to commence safely and smoothly, and that everyone has a blast.
