Glen Campbell: His Music Crossed Genres and Generations

By now, you've heard that Glen Campbell passed away after a long struggle with Alzheimer's. If you know anyone battling this monster of a disease, you know what a toll it takes on everyone involved. 

Like millions of other music fans, I was saddened to hear that Glen Campbell had died. He left behind a lifetime of music that crossed not only genres, but also generations.  I can remember his albums stacked under the record player at our house when I was a kid.

While you might find yourself wanting to check out some of the great songs in his music catalog (as you should), I also encourage you to watch the CNN special, 'Glen Campbell, I'll be Me.' It's a documentary that details his life before and after his diagnosis. It gives you an inside look into what Alzheimer's robs from everyone involved.  It's available on demand.
