Got a Sweet Tooth? Don’t Miss This Downtown Newburyport Candy Shop

It opened on Saturday, May 8, 2021, in Downtown Newburyport and it's been a huge hit ever since.  If you haven't yet been to The Candy Man, you simply must stop by.  It's a throwback to when you were a kid, so the whole family will love it!

The Candy Man in Newburyport is the second location for this sweet place.  The first one is in Kennebunkport at 20 Dock Square.  IT's a MUST GO when they have their Christmas Prelude celebration every year.  The Newburyport location is on 14 Pleasant Street, Newburyport, right across the street from Loretta's.

They have a huge selection of saltwater taffy.  It's really fun to check out their online flavor guide... I mean, truly... they have SO MANY flavors!

Just in time for Halloween, they have their eyeball gummies.  Not my style, but if you're into that sort of thing, you rock on.

My step-daughter Audrey, is a big fan of their homemade peanut butter cups.  Yup... homemade!  You can even watch them create all of their sweet creations right from the store!

Everyone will have something to tempt them at the Candy Man.  My temptation is chocolate-covered pretzels.  They have dark chocolate, white chocolate and milk chocolate to give you the perfect blend of salty and sweet.

As if mini powdered donuts weren't delicious enough, the Candy Man decided to cover them in delicious chocolate!

'Tis the Season for Chocolate covered apples!  Another one of my weaknesses and just in time for Halloween!  Too bad most people don't pass those out for trick or treat anymore.  Back in the day, my neighbors did it and it was THE BEST HOUSE to go to.  Can't do that today though.  Germs, COVID, etc., etc.
