Residents of New Hampshire must stay home beginning Friday at 11:59pm. NH Governor Chris Sununu issued a stay-at-home mandate and ordered all non-essential businesses to close, according to WMUR 9.

Sununu says that unless you are going out for something essential, you need to stay home for your safety.  So, what is considered essential?

Grocery Stores, Pharmacies, Doctor's Offices, gas stations and banks are all included on the list.  Restaurants will still be allowed to fill take out and delivery orders.

Sununu said during his press conference that he took into consideration what other states in the region have done.  WMUR 9 also reports that state beaches along the Seacoast will also be closed starting Friday.

Sununu also made it clear that this is not a shelter in place which he does no Governor has the authority to issue.  He says no one will be prevented from leaving their house to go for a walk, or get done essential business.
