Gronk’s New Gig: Carry-Out For Boston Area Stop & Shop

The former New England Patriots tight end took on Sunday Funday at a Malden, Mass Stop & Shop.

He's known for spiking footballs. Also Gronk: Smashing beers, and anyting else that isn't held down. Heck, it's called 'Gronking!' You sure you want this man handling your eggs?

Apparently, the answer is a big yes for shoppers of one Stop & Shop in Malden, Massachusetts.

According to Patch.com, Former Patriots star Rob Gronkowski surprised customers at the Stop & Shop Sunday by hand-delivering their online grocery orders to their cars. The grocery chain just launched same day online pickup.

Stop & Shop President Mark McGowan in a statement. "We plan to roll out 175 of these 'click-and-collect' locations by the end of the year," said  "We're excited to offer our customers the convenience of shopping online for the all the products available at their local store, which they can now pick-up in just a few hours."

Oh, and as far as actual 'Gronking?' Only a few defenseless watermelons were harmed. No, 'Gronk'd.'
