‘Hampton’ the Snowy Owl Is Healed And Back in the Wild
According to WMUR, A resident from Amesbury found the Snowy Owl (later known as Hampton) on the side of Route 101 about a month ago. Immediately he knew something was wrong.
She was badly injured and had lead poisoning so she was brought the a bird rehabilitation center in Epping. There she was nursed back to health and able to put back on some weight.
She is now ready to return to the wild so on Sunday they set Hampton free. You can watch a video of it here.
New Hampshire Fish and Game think Hampton will rest for a little and then make her way back to the Arctic. Hopefully she tells her fellow Snowy Owl friends how nice we were to her here on the Seacoast!
