The Flying Monkey's Monster Mash Karaoke Night In Plymouth, NH

If there’s one thing I’ve learned from being a theater kid, it’s that there’s no such thing as being too dramatic... especially when Halloween is involved.

The Flying Monkey in Plymouth, New Hampshire is giving you the chance to put your own theatrical talents to the test with its Monkey Monster Mash Karaoke Night on Tuesday, October 6th.

According to a post from The Flying Monkey, costumes are “highly encouraged,” and guests can choose a Halloween-inspired song before taking the stage with DJ Angie & Bob. The audience will get to decide who takes home the prizes and the title of Monster Mash Karaoke Champion.

I have a soft spot for anything that gives people an excuse to get up on a stage and perform, whether you have years of experience or your biggest performance usually happens in the shower... There’s just something about a microphone, a stage and an audience that can bring out a whole different side of people.

The Flying Monkey has a long history as a performance venue, with the building dating back to the 1920s when it operated as the New Plymouth Theater. Today, the venue hosts concerts, comedy, movies and other live performances.

So grab your costume, pick your monster anthem and get ready to sing or simply cheer on the brave souls who do.
