Here’s Your Behind the Scenes Look at WMUR’s Cook’s Corner
There are two things you need to know about me:
1. I'm not very good in the kitchen
2. I don't like being on television
I love to talk and chat, but just not in front of a camera! If you're old enough to remember 'The Brady Bunch,' then you know the episode where Cindy freezes in front of the camera while she's on a game show. That's how I feel when the camera is on me!
However, every year around this time, I'm asked to do the 'Cook's Corner' segment on WMUR for Special Olympics of New Hampshire's Penguin Plunge and really, how could I say no?!
I made two-ingredient dough. It's so simple. You can make pizza dough with it, or a flatbread, pretzels, even bagels! Equal parts fat-free Greek yogurt and flour. Roll the dough out and use whatever toppings you like! That's it...I like simplicity in the kitchen!
This time around, I went Hawaiian. Once you have your toppings figured out, put the dough on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and place in a 350 degree oven for around 20-25 minutes. Voila!
Hope you can join us for the annual Penguin Plunge weekend to benefit Special Olympics of New Hampshire.
