I understand the occasional typo nowadays, what with people texting, tweeting, posting on Facebook and all other social media outlets. But, a road sign mess up this bad? Really?

This sign was installed in Dartmouth, Mass last week (Nov. 15th) and taken down yesterday (Monday, Nov. 21st).

MassDOT apologized to drivers, tourists, and locals
for the misprinted sign, which read “Cod Cape” instead of “Cape Cod.”

The department is currently reviewing their sign installation process to see how the error passed through steps meant to check for errors.
