High Winds In NH Blow Over Several Tractor Trailer Rigs

(Franconia Notch, NH) - State Police closed a section of roadway through Franconia Notch due to the dangerous winds Monday afternoon.

The high winds had blown over a north bound rig that fell across the guardrail. A southbound rig was blown over and landed in the northbound lane.

As police dealt with these crashes, a third tractor trailer rig was blown over and struck a State Police cruiser with a Trooper inside.

There were no injuries in the incident

Police closed the roadway to all traffic until the lanes were cleared.

Tractor trailers have been diverted away from the area because of the high winds.
