Is MaryAnn of MaryAnn’s Diner in Derry a Real Person?
You bet your sweet steak tips she is! And the staff at her three locations is comprised of her children, nieces, nephews and friends that over the years have become family.
MaryAnn's Diner in Derry was our third stop in our Five Cities in Five Days tour. Just from the outside, we could tell that this place is an awesome blast from the past. But when we chatted with the staff and learned about the history of MaryAnn's, we realized how truly special this place is.
MaryAnn is the mother hen of the Andreoli family, and she and her husband own the original location in Derry, which has been in operation since 1989. Her son Billy and wife Duyen manage the Windham and Salem locations, which are both relatively new. The Salem location just opened in the summer of last year!
The sense of family and camaraderie can be felt in the air at MaryAnn's diner. And though the menu is out of this world, I think the feeling that people get when they walk through those doors is what keeps them coming back year after year.
Thank you to the whole crew at MaryAnn's in Derry for welcoming The Big Breakfast today with open arms especially Jeff, Christina, Karen and Susan (the Luke Bryan enthusiast.) We loved spending our morning with you!
