Let’s talk about a dish that is truly important in life, dare I say, vital to survival. Well, at least for me. It’s fish and chips.

I’ve traveled far and wide just to uncover the ultimate fish and chips and yes one of my all-time favs is still in England.

Well, okay, I didn’t exactly get on a plane and fly across the pond.

I was at Epcot in Disney on our family vacation and while visiting their "England," I mowed down on their fish and chips.

They were so good, I almost believed I was sitting in a pub somewhere in London. Almost.

My obsession is so bad that if their was a support group for this menu item, I'd be the first to say, “My name is Elizabeth and I am addicted to fish and chips.”  

Recently, I discovered an article put out by Food Republic that highlights that top spots in America to enjoy the very best fish and chips! Bless these articles for doing the hard work of ranking the best dishes. It saves all of us the trouble of pretending we did our research.

It’s called Lil Chippy, located at 52 Washington Ave, it's a quite cozy little chip shop that’s only been around since June of last year.

Since then though it has already put itself on the map as the holy grail of fish and chips.

How do they make it?

They receive amazing reviews online, one TikTok use saying, “really solid fried fish” They serve up their fish and chips fresh, lightly batter, extremely crispy and sustainable fish like hake. They also offer a gluten-free option. 

The crunchy outer layer of the fried fish in the crispy batter with each delicious bite of chips aka fries, taking you to a heavenly place. 

Lil Chippy also offers their very own house-made tarter sauce!

But hold your horses, because if you are still on the hunt in New England, there’s a second spot that’s been featured as the best in America to serve fish and chips.

It’s called Boston Sail Lost in Boston and they offer the most crispy Atlantic cod fish in hefty portions, as per the article.
