
Summer Returns to Old Orchard Beach as Favorite Businesses Open for the Season
As spring arrives in Maine, Old Orchard Beach is beginning to wake up for another busy summer season. The beach town is famous for its seven miles of sand, the historic pier, and the excitement that returns each year when favorite shops and attractions reopen. Several longtime businesses officially opened Thursday, April 17, giving both locals and visitors a reason to start counting down to summer.

One of the first places to reopen was Cottage Designs in Ocean Park. The shop is known for Maine-themed gifts, home décor, clothing, and beach-inspired decorations. It is the kind of place where visitors can find something special to remember their trip to Old Orchard Beach.
Pizza lovers were excited to see Rocco's Pizza open for the season as well. Located right in downtown Old Orchard Beach, Rocco’s has been a local favorite for years, serving New York-style pizza, calzones, and cannoli. A slice from Rocco’s is a classic stop after a day at the beach.
Families can once again enjoy mini golf at Jungle Adventure Mini Golf. With its fun jungle theme and colorful course, it is a popular activity for kids and tourists looking for a little friendly competition.
Finally, Dickinson's Candy is back open for the season. Known for its homemade fudge, saltwater taffy, and wide selection of sweets, Dickinson’s has been a tradition in Old Orchard Beach for generations.
With these businesses reopening, Old Orchard Beach is beginning to feel like summer again. The sights, smells, and excitement of the season are officially back on the Maine coast.
