Watch A Cape Air Pilot Make An Emergency Landing At Logan Airport

It was a rough landing on Tuesday afternoon for one Cape Air pilot who was forced to hit the landing strip at Boston Logan Airport with only one wheel down.

Flight 1833 was headed for Bar Harbor, Maine, but when the pilot was alerted of an issue, the flight returned to Logan where the bumpy landing was caught on camera.

WBZ-TV’s helicopter managed to capture the stressful moment on video as a Cessna 401 can be seen with only one wheel visible. The plane touched down on the runway and skidded to a halt near the grass.

The pilot is seen exiting the plane as emergency vehicles come rushing in to help the pilot and passengers exit the aircraft.

“The people on board were able to walk out of the plane on their own,” said CBS News.

Cape Air told the outlet that the pilot “was alerted to a landing gear anomaly shortly after take-off” and after performing the appropriate checklist, the pilot turned around and landed back in Boston.

The Massachusetts Port Authority confirmed to WCVB that there were two passengers and one crew member aboard the plane, and no injuries were reported.

Luckily, the crisis was averted thanks to the quick thinking of the pilot.

Other than a crazy story and a headache, the group on board returned safely home.
