I don't know. If Dave Portnoy says it, I'm believing it. I hate to say it, but he's earned my trust through his honesty on social media, and now it's to a point where if he was running for president I would vote for him. Don't come at me for that, I get it. It's wild, but it's true.

That's why when he was asked in a Barstool TV interview what the top five pizza cities in the world are, I had to agree when all of his recommendations were East Coast cities. I've even said before he visited Maine that he was missing out on some seriously good pizza shops. Here's a full list of all the Maine and New Hampshire pizza places he's reviewed last year, in case you missed it.

Moving on. In this interview on BarstoolTV, after being asked which cities have the best pizza in the world, he immediately mentions New England. More specifically, New Haven, Connecticut. I mean, all Connecticut is to me is a bunch of traffic, but Dave just gave New Haven a new reputation.

He puts New York City at number two and Boston at number three, which I have to agree with (I love my Pizzeria Regina's). Dave then chalks up the rest of his five as New England as a whole. The guy's bred in New England. He's loyal. Just not so loyal to Alex's Pizza in Topsfield, Massachusetts. That one actually received the lowest score in New England's pizza review history, which you can read about here.

Here are all the Maine and New Hampshire pizza spots that Dave has reviewed so far:
