It doesn't take a new Xbox or 72" 4K TV to make Christmas perfect. Sometimes it's just a photographer's find. Eric Snyder of Eric Snyder Photography in Massachusetts drove past this Christmas display and turned around to capture it.

There are thousands of comments on this one picture that is a recent favorite of Eric's. He won't reveal the location of this find until the snow flies. Then he will let us all know where he caught a bit of Christmas magic. He did reveal that it is in Massachusetts.

Diane Johnson shared on Eric's Facebook post a picture that she took!

There are hundreds of comments and thousands of likes of Eric's 'tree in a canoe' picture. Most of the comments are grateful for the soothing picture, which captures the true spirit of the season.

It's amazing how such a simple picture set in the most iconic New England setting can calm so many people. Life is hectic and often filled with bad news and challenges. In Maine, it's been a doozy of a year, especially the end of the year with the mass shooting and 'Grinch' storm. It's nice to pause, take a deep breath, and just wonder at the beauty.

Thank you Eric for sharing this sweet little take on what can often be an overcommercialized, hectic, expensive season. Sometimes it just takes a tiny tree in a canoe to remind us that there is an awful lot of beauty in the world. You just have to know where to look.
