For the 14th year in a row, Kennebunkport's Christmas Prelude Pooch Parade is ready to take over Dock Square. How amazing is that?

The best part is you can either watch the good boys and girls parade around town, or you can participate.

All you have to do is dress up your fur baby in his or her finest holiday outfit and meet your fellow dog lovers in the square to participate.

Pencil this into the free holiday activity folder we love to see. That's right, I said it was free.

Here's what their event says on Facebook:

"Bring your pooch wearing their favorite holiday attire! The parade starts at Consolidated School (School Street, Kennebunkport), down Maine Street, through Dock Square, and onto Ocean Avenue. All decorated dogs and their humans are welcome to join in - meet at Consolidated School by 10:45 a.m., 25 School Street, Kennebunkport. Sponsored by KBA member The Black Dog."

When: December 15 at 11 a.m.

Now, about 600 people have responded "going" to this event online, so I can only imagine how many dogs are going to fill the decorated streets this year. This is my version of heaven. Great idea.
