Stand-up comedian Lewis Black has come to Maine to perform several times over the years. He's had a regular segment called "Back in Black" on The Daily Show, where he goes off on just about any topic, dropping f-bombs left and right. He has also been the voice of Anger in the Disney films Inside Out 1 and 2. It's a perfect fit for him.

Black has come to Maine to perform several times over the years, and had a stand-up show back in March at the Merrill Auditorium in Portland. If you missed it, he went off on Portland, with much of that anger pointed at a show he did in 2015 on the Maine State Pier, put on by Waterfront Concerts. Those shows didn't last very long, however.

Lewis Black has his own YouTube channel, and posts clips of his stand-up shows there. The most recent one features him at Merrill doing his stand-up show and going into a fierce rant about Portland and performing on the Maine State Pier.

The show was on a hot day, and the sun was completely in his eyes, making it nearly impossible for him to do his show.

Keep in mind that Lewis Black's shtick is to go off on rants about everything, including politics, religion, cultural trends in the US, and anything that is pissing him off. It's all part of the routine, and it's hilarious.

WARNING: Lewis Black uses a lot of profanity, so viewer discretion is advised.

If you want to see Lewis Black in person, he'll be at The Colonial Theater in Keene, New Hampshire, on September 20, and the Casino Ballroom in Hampton, New Hampshire, on September 27. Get your tickets at LewisBlack.com.
