It's been a solid few months of cold temperatures, snow threats and dark days. Spring can't get here fast enough.
Over the last couple of years, spring has proven to be a wonderful respite for all of New England.
In 2025, it was one of the warmest springs on record for the entire New England region with temperatures regularly sitting a few degrees above normal.

Farmers' Almanac Spring 2026 Forecast Says Maine Will Be Chilly and Rainy
The Farmers' Almanac has officially released their spring 2026 outlook which isn't pretty for most of the country.
That includes Maine and New England, where the forecast calls for a slow spring warm up and lots of storms.
The Farmers' Almanac included a mention that some spring storms this year will likely include snow. The Farmers' Almanac also isn't buying that Maine will see above-average temperatures in March. Or even April.
The Farmers' Almanac Was Mostly Right on Their Winter Prediction For Maine
There's always some healthy debate on just how accurate the Farmers' Almanac seasonal predictions actually are.
If you're looking at their winter 2025-2026 prediction, it has been mostly right so far.
