I'm just going to say it. Look out, chicken joints, because this definitely looks and feels like a traditional and unique twist on all things chicken sandwiches that will give the others a run for their money.

Who doesn't know the name Shaquille O'Neal? The 15-time all-star NBA great is opening six of his fast-casual chicken restaurants in Massachusetts. Yes, if you didn't know, Shaq has been in the restaurant biz for a while and has a chicken restaurant chain. It's called Big Chicken, and is known for unique combos and flavors along with traditional chicken yumminess.

According to the website Franchising, the 7'1', 325-pound Shaq, who retired from basketball in 2011 after a season with the Boston Celtics, is opening those six new locations in Boston, surrounding suburbs, and Cape Cod.

According to WWLP-TV, there are already 300 locations around the country in malls, stadiums, and stand-alone restaurants with these being the first for New England.

Shaq's all-star status on the court is now part of his restaurant Big Chicken. According to the Big Chicken website, the restaurant is known for a menu that fuses Shaq's home-cooked childhood favorites from growing up in Newark, New Jersey, Germany, and San Antonio, Texas, with bold flavors.

From crispy chicken sandwiches and tenders to Cheez-It crusted mac n’ cheese and hand-crafted ice cream shakes, each menu item tells a story all while offering guests an inside look into the life and personality of Shaquille O’Neal.

Yes, you read that correctly. Cheez-It-crusted mac n cheese. I would try that for sure, along with the original Big Chicken that looks so scrumptious.

Now where exactly are these six new locations going to be? The information is still under wraps for all except one, which will be in the Northshore Mall in Peabody.
