How Will the Weather Affect the Thunder Over New Hampshire Air Show?
🔵 UPDATE: Performances will begin at 11 a.m. instead of noon Sunday
🔵 Other changes will be posted on the air show's social media
Despite less than an ideal forecast, the Thunder Over New Hampshire Air Show is a "go" for Saturday and Sunday.
The air show at Portsmouth International Airport at Pease takes place rain or shine even with thunderstorms, which are possible both days. Temperatures will be in the 80s on Saturday and the upper 70s on Sunday.
The only concession air show organizers have made to the forecast is starting the performances an hour earlier at 11 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday instead of noon. The gates onto the airport will still open at 8 a.m.
Any other changes to the schedule will be posted on the Thunder Over New Hampshire Facebook, Instagram, and X (Twitter) accounts.
Umbrellas are not permitted to be used on the field, as they can obstruct the view of others.
A free parking pass is needed to get onto the base grounds, which were made available several months.
Portsmouth Police warned that parking is prohibited on Grafton Drive (which runs along the perimeter of the Tradeport) or in the truck turnaround from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Violators will be towed at their own expense.
McIntyre Road is also closed to traffic.
