Joe’s New York Pizza has been a staple on Congress Street for 20 years but now is on the move to a new location.

Seacoastonline.com is reporting that owner Joe Kelley was unable to close a deal with the building owner who decided to list the building with a broker.

But as they say, when one door closes, another opens.

Joe started the business in his 20s and has seen the rent in the Congress Street location triple, according to Seacoastonline, and he is a successful restaurant entrepreneur owning five Thirsty Moose restaurants, co-owns Cup ‘O Joe and Dough Craft Pizza.

He has decided to move Joe’s New York Pizza into the location of his Fuki Asian fusion location at 2 Bow Street, the news article staed.

Let me just state for the record...New York Pizza is the best kind of pizza.

The menu will expand offering more than just pizza with items such as burgers, plant-based choices and even a few items from when he ran the location at Fat Belly’s, according to seacoastline.com.

He is still unsure of the new name for the eatery, deciding to not go with Joe’s New York Pizza, but it’s up in the air as to what it will be called.

One thing is for sure, Joe Kelley started with his first location at Hampton Beach in 1996 and he is a restaurateur that is here to stay and knows how to roll with the punches.
