Kira Invites You to Join Her at the Out of Darkness Walk for Suicide Prevention
If you or someone you know has lost someone to suicide, you are familiar with the whirlpool of grief, confusion, and profound sadness that accompanies a loss of this magnitude. It can leave people grappling with many complex emotions like guilt, anger, and sorrow.
Suicide is a deeply personal decision made under the influence of intense emotional turmoil and mental health challenges. Those who leave us in this way often struggle with internal battles that are invisible to those around them.
Losing someone to suicide is an incredibly painful experience, but through our grief, we can find strength in connection, understanding, and a renewed commitment to supporting one another.
One step we can take is participating in events like the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's Out of Darkness Walk on September 28th @ 10:30 am at Peirce Island in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
The walk raises both money and awareness to battle mental health issues and suicide. The AFSP's goal is to end the stigma around mental health in this country. The work they do is beyond important for our communities, and I support their efforts and mission wholeheartedly.
Join my team here (Team WOKQ) and I look forward to seeing you on September 28th for this important cause. Together we can save lives and bring hope.
