Lago’s Ice Cream Just Shared Its “Sweetest Order Yet” And It’s Melting Hearts

There's something about a trip to Lago's Ice Cream that feels like summer in New Hampshire.

For decades, families have made the stop at the Rye ice cream stand part of their tradition, whether it's after a beach day, on vacation, or simply because they're craving one of Lago's famous homemade flavors. Now, the beloved Seacoast favorite has added another unforgettable memory to its long history.

In a recent social media post, Lago's shared what they called "our sweetest order yet" after helping a local family celebrate a gender reveal. The mom-to-be, who grew up in nearby North Hampton, has been visiting Lago's her entire life, making trips for her favorite flavor... Cookie Monster!

So, when it came time to reveal whether they were having a boy or a girl, choosing the local ice cream stand where her grandmother used to take her to, felt like the perfect fit.

And although her grandmother just passed, Skylar Noyd and her husband Jeremiah, wanted to celebrate her memory by doing the gender reveal at a place that feels like home.

Lago's has been creating memories for generations. According to the shop's website, the business was founded in 1981 by Mike, Carol, and Andrea Lago. Arnold 'Gramps' Wade taught his Ice Cream Craft to Steve Grenier who Andrea ended up marrying!

Today, it's still family-owned by Steve and Andrea Grenier and has earned multiple "Best Ice Cream" honors from New Hampshire Magazine, along with recognition from Yankee Magazine and The Wall Street Journal.

Lago's continues to prove that the sweetest memories are often made one scoop at a time.
