Learn “Old School” G.P.S. – Navigating By The Stars

(Portsmouth, NH) - Thursday June 1 is the deadline to register for a two-day concise practicum on the theory and practice of basic Celestial Navigation.

"Navigating By The Stars" will be taught by Nate Hazen, a retired engineer and cruising sailor.  

According to Nate Piper, the Director of The Boatshop at Strawbery Banke,
"Given that today's GPS systems are not fail-safe, being able to navigate by the stars is a skill that still has great relevance for those of us out on the water."

The two-day course will run from 9 am to 4 pm on June 10 & 11 at the Strawbery Banke Museum's Tyco Visitor Center in Portsmouth.
