It's a change of careers for the veteran broadcaster.

The New Hampshire Association of Broadcasters reports that longtime WMUR Political Director and Anchor Josh McElveen will step down from television to to pursue a career outside of broadcasting.

According the the post on Facebook, McElveen has accepted a position as Vice President for Communications and Marketing at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Health System.

He'll take over the position on April 3rd.
